What is reformer pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates done on a specialised machine called a reformer. It uses a moving carriage, springs and straps to add resistance and support, so you can build strength, core control, posture and flexibility in a low-impact way. It’s suitable for beginners because the resistance can be adjusted, and exercises can be modified to match your level.

What class is suitable for beginners?

Foundation Flow is our most beginner-friendly class and the best place to start if you’re new to reformer Pilates (or coming back after a break). It’s slower paced, focuses on the basics, and we’ll guide you through form, breathing and setup so you feel confident on the reformer from day one.

What do I wear?

Wear something you can move comfortably in — leggings or shorts and a fitted top work best (so we can see your alignment and cue you properly).

Socks: please wear grippy socks for safety and hygiene (you can bring your own or buy them with us if available).
Avoid: baggy joggers/hoodies, zips, or anything that could catch on the reformer.
Optional: a light layer for the warm-up/cool-down.

Im nervous, any advice?

Start with Foundation Flow, arrive a few minutes early, and let the instructor know it’s your first class — we’ll guide you through everything. Just enjoy yourself, and remember everyone here was a beginner!
